Job Description:

This position, funded through Georgia’s Preschool Development Grant Birth through Fiv (PDG B-5) Renewal Grant, will serve as part of DECAL’s Research and Policy Analysis Team (RPAT) within the Quality Innovations and Partnerships (QIP) Division. The position will work with the unit director as well as other members of the RPAT, DECAL leadership, external research partners, and internal and external stakeholders to plan, coordinate, conduct, and communicate activities in support of the PDG B-5 and other RPAT projects. This position will provide support and data expertise for grants, contracts, research projects, and other special projects across QIP and DECAL.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses for PDG B-5 and other DECAL research and evaluation projects.
  • Coordinating and supporting the execution of RPAT and QIP contracts and associated financial reports and invoices.
  • Working with other team members to create research and evaluation materials as needed, including research reports, policy analyses, summaries, and presentations.
  • Designing, managing, and reporting results of surveys for DECAL divisions and DECAL research and evaluation projects.
  • Preparing communications and visuals (e.g., PowerPoints, handouts, data visualizations) for engagements such as provider and stakeholder webinars, board meetings, and staff meetings.
  • Contributing to federal content reporting for the PDG B-5, including the preparation and review of required documentation of grant progress.
  • Supporting research and reporting for PDG B-5 projects including, but not limited to, the Needs Assessment, Strategic Plan, Program Performance Evaluation Plan,
  • Language and Literacy Endorsement, and Community Impact Grants.
  • Working with other team members to develop and design evaluation protocols and appropriate measures for DECAL research and evaluation projects as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience reporting data in a variety of formats, preferably using data visualization techniques
  • Background in research methodology and statistics preferred
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, including manipulating, formatting, and analyzing large datasets
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to create clean and consistent communication materials
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, using proper spelling and grammar.
  • Knowledge of survey methodology and design
  • Experience working with data tables, formatting documents, and writing for a wide audience
  • Exemplary organizational capabilities and customer service skills

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university
  • AND One year of experience related to area of assignment.
