Job Description:

The Manager will be responsible for the successful development, leasing, activation and management of the retail and services programs. The Manager will oversee the operational and financial performance of such partners and businesses with the objectives of maximizing commercial (non-aeronautical) revenue, expanding the Terminal’s commercial offerings, enhancing LGP’s and Terminal B’s competitive positions, and elevating guest service and experience. The Manager will develop and implement strategies and plans to optimize business performance and drive additional revenue by creating, identifying, and pursuing opportunities for new and existing commercial concepts, brands and tenant partners. In addition, the position will be responsible for revenue generation in the marketplace and the development of service offerings that are dependent upon digital transactions including bundled services, downstream advertisement, product placement and revenue growth through insightful analytics.

The Manager will bring a disciplined but forward thinking, hands-on approach to developing a commercial service strategy, operational and technical implementation, and revenue ownership. This role will enhance the company’s ability to drive and manage revenue growth beyond traditional sources and deploy innovative commercial platforms with key partners. The primary focus of this Manager will be to create a diverse, innovative and financially strong commercial program at Terminal B.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Audit Commercial Partner operations to ensure compliance with Lease requirements and Standard Operating Procedures and work constructively with Commercial Partners to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Make data-driven decisions around generating demand, improving quarter over quarter revenue generation with a goal of having the highest revenue per enplaned passenger in the industry.
  • Monitor commercial performance by establishing and using suitable KPIs benchmarked against other airports, terminals and transit centers, shopping centers, and other comparable non-airport facilities.
  • Develop appropriate processes, systems, and methods to understand the current travel retail environment, trends and influences on customer buying patterns with a view to the development of new product offerings.
  • Assist with the development of annual budgets and business plans for the Commercial Team.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure continued services during Irregular Operations
  • Manage the guest experience program that includes mystery shops, passenger engagement surveys, employee incentives and employee learning & development to ensure the highest level of guest service to passengers.
  • Provide input to the annual plan and yearly budget as it relates to the Commercial Operations.
  • Develop and implement digitally transacted offerings, including but not limited to valet parking, lounge access, VIP/Concierge services, fast-pass security access, order-ahead and order-to-gate services, etc.
  • Conduct daily/weekly operations and concession performance visits to monitor quality assurance, guest experience, and lease compliance.
  • Convert data into revenue generation and revenue management opportunities, determine profitability and pricing strategy.
  • Develop and implement an ecommerce revenue strategy and roadmap that align with business plan objectives.
  • Develop and implement successful commercial strategies, plans, campaigns, and programs to ensure maximum performance, annual growth in sales and sales per passenger, and increased revenues.
  • Focus on driving revenue growth from multiple channels.
  • Lead and provide project management for vendor, system and application evaluation, implementation, deployment, integration and other digital revenue generation project activities.
  • Maximize market penetration, set revenue targets by market and distribution channel. Monitor performance against targets and adjust as necessary using business insights.
  • Champion the ecommerce offerings to transform the guest journey before, during and post their visit to LaGuardia Terminal B.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Understanding of sales methodologies and platforms
  • Experience in the development of revenue generation and digital strategy service offerings
  • Three or more years of leadership and management involving direct and indirect reports
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in retail and commercial management preferred, ideally in shopping centers, other retail environments, terminals and transit centers, airports, and comparable non-airport facilities
  • Project management expertise
  • Excellent partnering and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Marketing or other related areas preferred
